The biggest news of today is the American exit from Afghanistan, which has, by all accounts,

bin and utter shit show.

The Taliban has officially taken back essentially the entire country, including the capital

Kabul, with the American ambassador and nearly all embassy employees being evacuated this

weekend.

After an aggressive advance would be the entire country, the Taliban ultimately took Kabul

without force and negotiated the takeover with local leaders.

There is now an agreement that there will be a transitional administration for orderly

transfer of power to the Taliban.

The U.S. Embassy was officially closed and the American flag taken down, while several

of our allies, including the French, Canadians, and Germans, have all closed their embassies

as well.

Amidst the chaos, the United States has sent a total of 5,000 troops so far to assist with

the departure.
