But we do have a lot of news to get to as well. Of course, Ginger's standing by tracking the freeze alerts and the cleanup after at least 50 tornadoes across 12 states.

We are going to begin, though, with the latest on the war with Iran. Peace talks and

doubt this morning. The ceasefire not holding after the U.S. season, Iranian cargo ship.

Iran is calling that an act of privacy, piracy vowing to respond. Senior political correspondent

Rachel Scott starts off from the White House. Good morning, Rachel.

George, good morning to you. And there are big questions about whether a second round of negotiations

will even take place. With a ceasefire with Iran set to expire on Wednesday, the White House says

the vice president is ready to travel to Pakistan for these talks. But Iran making it clear this

morning, they're not ready to negotiate. As the U.S. prepares for another round of negotiations, overnight Iran announcing they have no plans for further peace talks.

An Iranian spokesperson saying the U.S. has shown that it is not serious about pursuing the diplomatic process.

The impasse comes with time running out on the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran.
