Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Girls' Camp podcast. I'm your host, Haley Rawl.

If I am sounding sick today, I apologize.

It is because I am sick, which actually feels kind of

fitting and appropriate for this episode because we are doing a mom talk episode, talking about

all things, not just motherhood, like being a mom, but also relationships with your own mom, being a mom or having a mom,

mom talk. And I thought that was a clever little title because it's like mom talk, but T-A-L-K.

And I love a little word play, especially if I can work it into a title, which you may have noticed.

The reason it feels fitting that I'm sick to an extent is because

we have had a lot of sickness in our home. And I have three and a half year old twin girls.

They just started preschool, which has been a dream come true. Yes, better sweet, but really,

really nice for all of us in a lot of ways. They go to school every other

day. And it's turned out that they both haven't been able to go to school together because of the way

the sickness has hit both of them. So I have one of my daughters at home, not at preschool. And she is

enjoying Frozen downstairs. She also has already watched Zootopia today, but today I just have to get some

work done and so it goes. So it goes being a working mom sometimes, which I have more thoughts on,

which we will get to later in this episode. I opened up a submission box and had you all write in

either questions for me or thoughts,

feelings, experiences yourself around this topic. Before we dive right in, I did want to quickly

say how happy I am to be back doing a solo episode. I have kind of tried to spread out like

guest episodes with solo episodes, but sometimes it just turns out

that guest episodes end up being back to back and then solo episodes back to back.
