And we are keeping it pretty light today.

We are going to be talking about birthdays.

And before your mind goes to bounce houses and goodie bags

and funfetti cupcakes, I should clarify,

I'm actually talking about our birthdays because I don't know if you all know this but

moms have birthdays too. They do. They really do. They count love it yeah I think I definitely used to be someone who's

kind of a you know like what's the big deal about birthdays?

And that, honestly you guys, that was like for my children.

And for myself, I've never been a big, let's find a Pinterest-worthy birthday

to inspire us and recreate it type of person.

But as I have gotten older, when I think much of the world, maybe it should be this way too,

when birthdays, you know, should start to feel less important as you get older

For me, they've kind of started to feel more important and I don't know if I just am more aware than ever that we have so

many reasons to feel dread or despair or anxiety about the world that we're

living in. It's probably that, honestly.
