My husband bought this property a year before he died.

He had intended to turn the old warehouse that came with the land

into a studio and gallery for a daughter,

who at 15 had already produced what a number of art experts called masterpieces.

It was put together with three levels of faded red brick.

and the front and back of the building had iron-stepped fire escapes.
