We start off with the momentum stocks running out of gas in a big way.

shares of red-hot invidious surge nearly 4% early in the session, sending a new intraday record

in furthering its lead over Microsoft and

Apple is the biggest company in the world, but then the stock pulled back on the day closed down

3.5 percent, shedding nearly $120 billion in market cap.

That dropped pushed it back to number two on the leader board.

It wasn't exactly the only recent rally name to come under pressure today.
