We have a ritual on this show that we use every single day because it allows us to

recognize that even though the work we're dealing with is difficult and the stories and the

conversations we have are challenging. It allows us to be clear that we have power. And if we tap

into a set of emotions that will allow us to be as joyful, as grateful, and as appreciative as we possibly can, we cannot also be trapped by fear, loneliness, and depression. And so this ritual is called a moment of gratitude. We do it every single day. It's super simple. It goes a little something like this. Just a minute. You're going to hear music. That music's going to be an invitation to you to join the rest of us as we collectively begin taking the slowest, the deepest, and the most long capacity expanding, joyful heart invigorating, troubled mind, cleansing, and weary soul, uplifting the most amazingly juicy breath.

As we kick off our most important segment of every single day, it is time for our moment of gratitude.

Thank you. every single day. It is time for our moment of gratitude. Food. Every day, folks, every day we got to do it.

And every day it matters.

Shout out to the Urban View family, the Nubians the newbians the podcast community the youtube community everybody who is in this space we are appreciative of you and today i want to play a clip for you because i'd mentioned earlier that we got to choose your heart right and that was a phrase that i had heard a couple of days ago when i was on karen show shout out to karen hunter on Wednesday. And she played this same clip that you're about to hear right now from Steve Harvey. And I told me, as soon as I heard the clip, I was like, I want that for a moment of gratitude. Because we have to recognize that there is power in decision. There is power in choice. There is power in assessing your reality, deciding, not just what you are going to do in this moment,

but then thinking through how that decision is going to also have reverberating impacts.

And that is an obligation for any of us who are a part of community.

To not just sit in a space where we are deciding right now for this moment with a short-sighted vision,

but to be in a position where as we are choosing, whatever it is that we are choosing,

that we are also thinking about the long-term repercussions and implications.

Steve Harvey was having a conversation with a number of folks, and this through line, this theme,
