If you like what you're about to hear, go ahead and give us five stars and then tell everybody that you know. And if you don't like it, just, child, keep it to yourself and pray our strength. Okay, thank you so much. Also, don't forget to check out my YouTube page, Lurie Daniel Favor's Media, where you should subscribe, like, and share because then you'll get notified when I post videos from my show, which I do just about every single day and when I go live with my YouTube audience. We got, as I mentioned, a lot of stories to cover this morning here in Black Talk |
| 0:54.4 | Landia. So we are going to get right into it. We start every day on this show with a ritual. |
| 1:00.7 | And this ritual is called a moment of gratitude. And the ritual was born out of a recognition |
| 1:04.8 | that, quite frankly, life be life. And it's hard out here for a lot of us, frankly, most of us, |
| 1:10.2 | if not all. And in addition to that, Black Talklandia talk, it's hard. here for a lot of us frankly most of us if not all and in addition to that |
| 1:12.3 | black talklandia talk it's it's hard like right i guess it's difficult stories it's conversations |
| 1:16.8 | that's not the the most you know titillating in terms of you know who's it's not gossiping sometimes |
| 1:22.7 | we do gossip but it's not like this ain't a gossip show this ain't a gossipy type of show and even though |
| 1:27.0 | we try to delve into culture and pop culture a bit, it can be hard because the news sort of overwhelms my brain. And so we end up not doing a whole lot of the pop culture element. And so that means that Black Talklandia can be. It's a hard place to be. This show has been described as all shot, no chaser, something that makes me quite frankly very, very proud. But because of that, you don't want to be hearing these conversations or |
| 1:49.7 | these stories or learning about the news and the articles that we discuss. You don't want to be doing that |
| 1:54.7 | from a perspective of defeat. You want to be as empowered as possible. You want to always constantly |
| 2:00.1 | be reminded of your power |
| 2:01.7 | because Black Talklandia ain't just for us to talk about it. It's for us to be about it. For us to be |
| 2:06.4 | about it. So this ritual called a moment of gratitude allows us to intentionally tap into a set of |
| 2:11.9 | emotions known as joy, gratitude, and appreciation. These emotions in particular are important because |
| 2:17.3 | we have learned |
| 2:18.3 | through lived experience and the science has confirmed that when you are rooted in gratitude, |
| 2:22.2 | for example, you cannot be trapped by fear, loneliness, and depression. So there's that. So |
| 2:26.8 | this ritual, as I mentioned, very, very simple. So simple, in fact, it goes a little, something |
| 2:30.9 | like this. In just a minute, you'll hear music. |
| 2:34.6 | That music will be an invitation to you to join the rest of us, because when we hear it, |
