Hello and welcome to another episode of The Mom Wars. My name is Bethany Mandel. I'm your only

co-host this week because Kara Kennedy is still rudely on maternity leave. She gave birth like

three weeks ago. I was back podcasting like

several days after I had a baby in a car. So I just think this is ridiculous at this point.

But I am joined by one of my dear friends who has seen me give birth several times. No, twice. Yeah. Yeah. Katie Carney, fellow mom of six,

readers of our substack, which I hope you are. I referenced Katie in a recent post, which I forgot to

send you. Sorry. Somebody else did. Really? I love it. So then I'm glad I talked about you nicely. You are, so a mom of six,

Catholic, your husband also works in this silly industry. He is, I should have checked all of

these things with you. He's a fellow at AEI and like, what does he do at the examiner now?

He's a senior columnist, I think.

He writes me in the examiner.

Who knows?

Who could note such things?

But I didn't have Tim on.

Oh, Tim also, I just really want to say he wrote two fabulous books.

And every pronatalist, like, panel or whatever I'm always on, he's always on it.

Family unfriendly was the most recent one.

And then what was the name of the first one?

Alienated America.

And I want to complain actually about that book for a second.
