After a bench trial, Judge Nancy Margaret Russo, no relation to the victim, found an Ohio teenager, McKenzie Sherilla, guilty on multiple charges, including two counts of murder for the single vehicle crash that occurred in the Cleveland suburb of Strongsville, Ohio.

Sherilla was sentenced to two life sentences to run concurrently.
