We talk at length with Molly about the new book and what she found in the course of reporting it.

It's great to be here with you.

It's always nice to have an opportunity to talk, and especially when you're going to have a best-selling book on your hands.

This is a reported book. This is a deeply reported book on the election and what led up to it.

And the question you try to answer is what really happened. Did you enter this with any assumptions of your own as to what you thought was going on?

Yes. When I was covering the 2020 campaign, I was appalled at the way that the media were rigging

the game by how they were covering different campaigns, how they covered news stories. It was

really something that had been a growing

problem throughout the Trump presidency, where they were engaged in just spreading absolutely

ridiculous stories that have a huge effect on the population, such as the Russia collusion hoax,

which was their conspiracy theory that the 2016 election was stolen by Donald Trump colluding with Russia.

And that dominated the news for a long period of time.
