Molly, thank you for joining us. It is great to be here with you. So we're supposed to talk about politics.

A president's job of approval rating is the best single predictor of how a party is going to do in midterm elections.

And in the last few days, we've seen Joe Biden break through down into the 30s.

Lower than any other president has actually been at this point in his presidency.

Should say George W. Bush, for example, got a lot lower than that into the 20s in 2007 when Iraq was just going disastrously.

So it takes a lot to get that far down. But Biden's managed to get pretty far down.

And what we've seen as the president's job approval has been sinking, as Democrats know what that means,

they've talked about varying life rafts that might be out there, maybe a Supreme Court decision

on road, just so enrages the nation that they reelect Democrats.

Or a gun legislation, a gun debate, energizes their voters.

Or maybe the January 6th Committee gets some so excited that they all go out and vote for their Democrat candidate.
