Today, we are talking about 1997s, The Lonesome Crowded West by Modest Mouse. What we do here every week on the podcast is take an album of music and talk about what makes it great.

We try to have the conversation around the music that fans do, and we

culminate it all in a track-by-track review in which we talk about the things that we like about

the songs and the things we think about while listening to them. Yeah, I love me some track-by-track.

And we're not going to be doing it alone this week, Brian. No, no. Today, we are going to be

joined by Daryl Sellers from one of our favorite regional bands,

Low Light.

And some longtime listeners may recall we've had their drummer, Colin, on in the past,

and we've had their lead vocalist and guitarist Renee on twice, as a matter of fact.

So we really enjoy low light, and Daryl brings a wonderful perspective as a guitarist

and a producer and engineer himself.

And we're in the midst of Indie August, which what we're doing here, actually, this is

the last episode of Indy August.

That's right, that's right. Yeah, it is. We've done four episodes of albums that have been

released on independent labels. And I feel like Monash Mouse has been a long time coming. A lot of

people have been requesting them over the years. And a number of different. That's how you know

like you've got a good,

like a legacy band on your hands.
