So it's a big audience to begin with.

First up on today's podcast, The Race for a COVID vaccine.

Biotechnology company Moderna is focused on developing vaccines and therapeutics

leveraging part of the human genetic sequence in messenger RNA or MRNA. That's also the company's

stock ticker.

Clever.

Today, Moderna is hosting its first Vaccines Day, a virtual investors meeting which includes

presentations on MRNA vaccines and some positive data from phase one of Moderna's experimental

Zika vaccine. Those promising results are, like I said, for Zika. But they're a good

sign for the COVID-19 vaccine that Moderna is also developing. Of the nine vaccines, Moderna is currently

working on seven, including the one for Zika, have yielded positive preliminary results.
