Oyan Poon, who is an educator, author, speaker on race,

and wrote a wonderful book entitled,

Asian American is not a color, conversations on race,

affirmative action, and family.

I would love it. On behalf of all Asians during Asian American Pacific Islander Month,

Democracy Ish is pleased to introduce Dr. Oyan Poon,

the co-director of the College Admissions,

Futures Collaborative and Senior Research Fellow for Education Equity

at the NAACP LDF Third Good Marshall Institute.

She is also an educator, author, speaker, and a mom, and a race and education scholar.
