Welcome into the DMVR Broncos draft podcast.

We've only got a week to go until the actual NFL draft, which is kind of crazy to think about

eight days until the Broncos make their pick, which is a little bit disappointing.

We've got a lot to talk about today in the Toyota Lounge, and that's where I am.

And unfortunately today, we don't have Dre because Dre had to do real work today,

but we will get Dre on the draft pod at er, the Broncos pod, sorry, at 11.

And we're going to talk through a bunch of more Broncos draft stuff at that point.

We're also going to have Jake.

He also got caught up this morning, but he'll be here in about 15 minutes to join me.

But for now, it's just me and

you guys, and we're going to talk through some mock drafts today. We are in the thick of mock draft

season. It's every day there's plenty more coming out. Adam Rank just had one that I thought was

kind of interesting. Mel Kuyper just did his first two-round mock, which is a lot of fun. So did Todd McShay. Both of them have some fun Broncos in there. So we're going to talk through all of these. But let's start with Dane Bruegler. So Dane Bruegler of the Athletic slash the New York Times. He went through all seven rounds. That's 257 picks. And that means we get actual Broncos picks, which, you know, that's the downside of all these mock drafts. When the Broncos are the last tune to make a pick in the draft, you run out of, there aren't many Broncos who get taken. We're going to skip ahead. And we'll talk through the whole thing a little bit later on once Jake is around and get some of Drey's thoughts later on. But we're going to skip ahead to the Broncos first pick. We're at number 62. He has the Broncos taking C.J. Allen, the linebacker from Georgia. It's an interesting pick. You know, we had Fran on the Bronco show yesterday. He had

Anthony Hill, the linebacker from Texas as a Bronco because he said C.J. Allen would not be

on the board at that point. Interestingly, Anthony Hill was a potential pick for the Broncos

at number 30. So was C.J. Allen back when the Broncos had number 30.

C.J. Allen, he's a lot of fun.

We've had the linebacker talk a lot.

And it's an interesting position for the Broncos where Broncos likely aren't going to find anybody

who can actually start for their team because

they're already so talented they bring back almost everybody at pick 62 but what you want to do is

find somebody who could be a starter in the future and in some positions you want to get younger
