Welcome to this channel. I have the privilege and the opportunity to have someone today who is a friend of my friend, but also as a powerful testimony, Michael Franzisi, he was born into a family that was involved in crime.

And then at the very young age, he started to climb the ladder and actually became one of

the most influential and richest mafia bosses in the United States.

Since then, he left that life, became a believer. And today we're going to hear more about his story that he's been sharing through books, documentaries, interviews. You probably have seen him on YouTube, and we have the opportunity to meet him today. So Michael, hello, and it's pleasure to meet you.

And in your book, Blood Covenant, the story of the mafia prince who publicly quit,

mob, and lived, you mentioned about your dad, and I want to start with that. Could you tell us a little bit more about what was it like growing up when you were a little boy and who was your dad to you?

Well, my dad, Sonny Francis, he was the underboss of the Colombo family, one of the five New York

Kosovo Mafia families, which is a very powerful position. He was also my hero, my idol growing up.

I love my dad. But he was extremely high profile. He was always my hero, my idol growing up. I love my dad.

But he was extremely high profile.

He was always under investigation, always a major target of law enforcement.

As a matter of fact, the amount of attention he got back then was unusual for somebody to have that much attention in that life.

You know, you look at how lucky Luciano or somebody of that category.

But as a result, you know, I grew up all the time with law enforcement around us,

constantly surveilling my dad, and in some ways we believe they were harassing the family.

So I grew up with kind of a negative attitude towards law enforcement and government because I always felt my dad was my hero, my father,

and that law enforcement was always out to get him. So I had that kind of negative, you know,

thought process in me from the time I was born practically because it started very early. Were you aware what

he was doing for living? You know, not really. My dad never brought it into the house, you know,

himself. He never spoke about it. As far as I was concerned, he was in the music business. He had
