0:32.7 | The palace judgment. |
0:33.9 | Yes. |
0:34.4 | Yeah, I think it shows kind of the mess that football has brought itself in, to be honest. It's really hard not to have sympathy with them. It feels an awful lot like they have been done on a technicality. They've kind of missed an administrative deadline for legitimate reasons. They've then had the rules enforced, like technically, but maybe not in a spiritual sense. Does that make sense? Like, it feels like they've, they are, you know, what they did was wrong. You're not meant to do that. They missed a deadline, but it's very harsh to ban them for it. There has been no common sense applied, and it kind of all speaks to this thing of, maybe it would be better if football clubs had one one owner and that owner didn't own any other football clubs. |

1:25.3 | The caste rule in the key points were that regulations are clear |
1:28.4 | and do not provide flexibility to clubs that are non-compliant on the assessment date as Pallas |
1:34.7 | claimed. That assessment date was at the beginning of March, the 1st of March, and what UEFA, |
1:40.3 | and presumably CAS have upheld, is that other clubs, if they've been in this situation, |
1:45.3 | have managed to sort out their ownership issues by a deadline. |
1:50.3 | Yeah, and of course I think, you know, |
1:52.2 | you go back to yesterday where Palace won the Community Shield |
1:55.2 | and if you're a player in this situation |
1:57.6 | to have that level of focus to perform |
