The sheer cruelty and cowardice of firing into a church full of children is absolutely

incomprehensible.

That's Minneapolis police officer Brian O'Hara on the shooting at Annunciation Catholic school today

that he says killed at least two children and injured at least 17 people, 14 of whom are children.

During the mass, a gunman approached on the outside, on the side of the building, and began firing

a rifle through the church windows towards the children sitting

in the pews at the mass. Shooting through the windows, he struck children and worshippers that were

inside the building. The shooter was armed with a rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol. A doctor says children

ages 6 to 14 are being treated for injuries at one Minneapolis area

health care system. The police chief says the suspect was in his early 20s and is believed to be dead.

He says no explosives were found, but added that there was a quote, sort of firework that he likened

to a smoke bomb. A possible motive is under investigation.
