Good to have you with me once again.

Interest rates have been really low for a really long time,

which is great news if you're a mortgage borrower.

Not so good, though, if you're a saver.

And it's these latter folks that I want to speak to today and give you some thoughts on what to do to get a better return than you're getting in the

bank, but also what that might cost you in terms of peace of mind. And yes, pounds and pence. So that's

where we're heading for today. After the main body of the show, obviously I'll look at some reviews as I normally do. I'll announce what we're going to be talking about next time. I've also got a voicemail from long-time listener Andy up in Yorkshire. He's got some thoughts on session 126 a couple of weeks ago where we talked about paying down your mortgage or investing. Now just a couple of points.

Firstly, I'm recording this not from my lovely studio in my office in Penzance, but from a hotel

room in Leeds where I am doing some workshops for a company called Nuclis, who are a big financial

services, a rap provider. Great company. I'm doing some

sessions for advisors, but it's 10 o'clock at night. I'm very tired, very hungry, and I have

ordered room service, but I don't want to wait for it, because I might be waiting another

half an hour before room services arrives, and I'll have missed the chance to get going with

this recording. So I might have to break off to get going with this recording.
