Summary

Today’s word of the day is ‘10%’ as in a tenth as in 16.2 as in the MLB season is already ten percent through. Remember when everyone though there wouldn’t be baseball this year and here we go. Let’s talk about what we’ve been seeing so far. Injuries. Less runs. Surprises. Disappointments. Poor attendance. Streaming wars. (18:00) Miguel Cabrera is now Mr. 3000. It finally happened on Saturday. Will anyone else join Cabrera soon? Maybe in 10 year? 15 years? Who has the best chance? Machado? Soto? Trout? (28:00) Review: The Batman (31:40) So You Wanna Talk to Samson!? Someone asked me about the craziness of fans lately. The Timberwolves have now had 3 different people try and protest during a game. The latest one was tackled by security on the court. The Reds made fans take paper bags off their heads. The Yankees fans threw bottles and debris at the Guardians players. What is going on? Hope you all had a good weekend because while you were sleeping, the MLB season is 10% done

1:04.5

already. I did that math all the time. You've heard me with my big magnetic board,

1:11.2

actually, all the new listeners to nothing personal may not have heard me, but I had a huge

1:14.7

magnetic board in my office. It was in French because I got it in Montreal and then brought

1:19.7

it with me to Florida. The months were in French, like AVR was the abbreviation for April

1:24.7

and MAI for May, J-U-I for June, Jouet, Jouier, anyway. All the games, all the scores. It

1:34.7

was a big enough board that during the beginning of the season, I had to stand on a chair to

1:38.3

write the game scores and the attendance for home games, just game scores and cumulative

1:43.5

record on road games. By the end of the year, I'm on my hands and knees because I'm writing

1:49.9

down at the bottom of the board. It just goes quickly. The season, while it just started,

1:56.1

everyone says it's early. I hated that. Players would always say, the manager would say,

2:01.3

hey, don't worry, we're not playing well, it's early. We got plenty of time. It's 10%.

2:07.4

That's like your battery's already at 90. When you're using your phone throughout the day,

2:12.7

and you say, oh, 90, I don't have to do anything. I'm good. Then you turn around and it's 50,

2:17.4

and you've got a little bit of anxiety. Then you get a phone call that you don't want to take,

2:22.7

but you have to for 10 minutes, you're down at 40, and then you sneeze and you're at 20,
