Summary

Today's word of the day is 'overstimulated' as in 8 playoff games and a finals game as in so much sports as in how do we watch it all!? Let's talk about how crazy of a sports day Wednesday actually was(0:06). Houston Astros advanced and Carlos Correa spoke to the haters. Not the right move (2:30). What about our pal, Trevor Bauer? What did he do? He pitched a gem, but he keeps doing things that rub people the wrong way (9:04). The last series I'd like to talk about is the Yankees-Indians matchup. What a disaster of a game last night. Not the game game, but the game length. 19 walks. A rain delay (13:00). So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Someone asked me about having fans at the World Series. They wanted if this decision was just about money (17:11). Review - Thunder Road (25:00). Let's talk about the NBA Finals. Not the game. What was going on behind the scenes. The report was Doc Rivers was watching the game with Philadelphia 76ers top brass. Interesting. Allow me to explain (27:00). The Brooklyn Nets already seem like a bad, bad situation. Kyrie Irving had some things to say on Kevin Durant's new podcast (31:45). What happens when a team owner wants to be 'part of the process'... the Los Angeles Angels know all too well about this (34:50). We did not win Podcast of the Year Award, but we still love each one of you listeners. Thank you. Maybe next year? #waittosee --------------------------- 'Nothing Personal with David Samson' is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, Castbox, Bullhorn and wherever else you listen to podcasts.   Follow David on Twitter: @DavidPSamson  To watch David on CBS Sports HQ visit https://www.cbssports.com/live/ To hear more from the CBS Sports Podcast Network, visit https://www.cbssports.com/podcasts/ Learn more about your ad choices. over stimulated. That is the word of the day. Nothing personal. It's the first of October.

0:14.3

When I woke up this morning, I went to bed about 3 30 last night because I was watching the end of

0:19.8

the Dodger Brewer's game, which ended only a few minutes after the Yankees Indians game,

0:24.8

though it started three hours later, but we'll get to that. I didn't know what data was. I hadn't

0:30.3

really thought much about it. Fell asleep around four, woke up at 637, and my brain was overstimulated.

0:40.7

I could not get it to calm down. It was such a day yesterday, and I need to understand how to be

0:47.3

better. There were eight major league baseball playoff games and an NBA finals game.

0:54.9

The game started slowly because there was only one game at noon yesterday. Then a game started at

1:01.6

one, not bad. You just go last channel. You're good to go. You don't need a flip two,

1:07.9

unless both games are too commercial and then you have a flip two movie ready.

1:12.0

Then two o'clock, the Marlins' Cup start. Now we've got three games going. There's no chance

1:17.2

to three games for ever being commercial at once, but they were. So I kept the flip two.

1:23.9

Then there was a five o'clock, a seven o'clock, a ten o'clock, a four o'clock. I'm trying to watch

1:32.1

important moments of each game. You end up missing the important moments of every game.

1:37.9

I couldn't figure out picture and picture. Don't think I have it. Try to figure out if I could be on

1:44.7

the iPad and on the phone and on the TV, but I found myself to be dizzy by that. I don't see it.

1:52.4

It's like being in a sports bar. I find it to be very, although I don't remember ever being in a

1:57.3

sports bar because it's been so long, but there's so many TVs and you don't know what to watch.

2:02.0

Am I the only one who ends up watching nothing? I understand why MLB is scheduled this way because it

2:06.9

is a frenzy. It's phenomenal. It's overstimulating. But then you have to remember all the games because

2:15.5

you go on CBS Sports HQ to talk about them. Then you're going to do a nothing personal show where

2:20.2

you're trying to keep track. Then you try to remember who's playing who and when what happened
