This is the Baseball Tonight podcast for Monday, September 30th,

2024 and today will be better than yesterday.

I'm Buster-only taping this podcast from Bristol right after we got done doing

baseball tonight. It was Tim Kirkchin, it was myself, it was Jeff Passen,

you'll be hearing from those guys later in the podcast and Taylor Shink another opportunity to see in person.

We've seen each other in person more than any other season buster so I'd say that

alone is a success. Well we started with the pandemic so that was we started behind but you know today's kind of crazy.

My head is spinning as we sit here today so you're gonna have to help me remember what happened

okay so on Sunday we went into it it looked like the the

Atlanta Braves had an advantage over the Mets in the Arizona Diamondbacks

but the Braves lost to the Kansas City Royals in a home game.

The Mets blew out the Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks blew out the

San Diego Padres. So what that means is the Diamondbacks will sit back at home, I'm assuming, in Arizona,

and they will watch a double-headed played between the Mets and the Braves in Atlanta on Monday.

Taylor McGill is going to pitch, it looks like, lined up for the Mets in game one,

Louis Severino lined up in game two, Spencer Schwellenbach in game one, Chris Saleh in game 2 for the Atlanta Braves, but it's the weirdest

dang situation because Whooch ever, team Taylor wins game one is going to clinch a playoff spot.

Okay? Yeah. So then the question becomes, you know, the team that wins will they go

hard in game two? I think for sure they're going to pull back their starting picture in game two. I think for sure they're going to pull back their
