that happened this weekend at a hotel in Denver, just a block from Course Field where this week's MLB All-Star game is being held.

On Sunday, multiple news outlets reported that four people had been arrested after a hotel worker spotted a gun in a hotel room.

Authorities say they arrested four suspects all in their 40s who had more than a dozen long guns body armor

and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition on the eighth floor of the Maven hotel in downtown Denver.

And according to our affiliate KMGH, one of the suspects recently got divorced and said,

quote, he wanted to go out in a big way.

There was concern about the fact that the hotel was located so close to the stadium and speculation that perhaps there could have been a plan to target the MLB All-Star game.

But not long after those reports, the FBI's Denver Field Office put out a statement on Twitter saying, quote,

we have no reason to believe this incident was connected to terrorism or a threat directed at the All-Star game.

We are not aware of any threat to the All-Star game events, venues, players, or the community at this time.

So the plan as of Sunday night is to proceed with the game and the festivities as planned.
