Summary

The Music City Bowl is set to kickoff Monday and marks the final time Brady Cook is under center for the Missouri Tigers.  While trying to convince everyone how important it is for Mizzou to get back to back 10 win seasons, coach Eli Drinkwitz let out the truth.  It's glorious.    39th president Jimmy Carter has died at the age of 100.  History will remember him well as a human being but if we're being fair, we should never forget how bad he was at his job.    All those empty streetcars sliding around KC actually charge big money to put your business logo on them, wait until you hear how much it costs according the the KC Biz Journal.    The Chiefs are computer faves to win the Super Bowl but that still makes them a longshot at this point.  I've got the percentage chance they pull off the three-peat.    Do you want Denver or Cincinnati in the playoffs?  What do you think Andy Reid thinks and what might he do to make sure the Bengals don't get in?     Drew Lock as a day for the ages in New York and Gracie Hunt has found her a man.

Obviously, the big story of the weekend is the passing of the 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter, who died at the age of 100.

We will get to that in a couple of moments.

But I do want to lead here because I'm excited about the game today between Missouri and

0:25.3

Iowa in Nashville, the Music City Bowl, because Missouri has a chance to do something that

0:30.6

just doesn't happen very often.

0:32.2

A couple of 10 wins seasons back-to-back, back-to-back bowl wins, and just a terrific

quarterback in Brady Cook, who has

0:39.2

endured a lot in Missouri and not just persevered, but succeeded with wild numbers and

0:44.9

success in what will be his final game.

0:48.3

And we can start ranking players in Missouri history that loved being a Missouri Tiger, and near the top of the list would be

0:56.6

Brady Cook. Nobody has donned the uniform and been prouder to be the quarterback of the Missouri

1:01.5

Tigers than Brady Cook. And I like to tip my cap to him, Eli Drinkwitz, for really turning

1:07.8

the program around a couple of years ago with these last two seasons and setting

1:11.4

Missouri up for not just financial success, which they've certainly had in the SEC, but success

1:16.2

on the field and the opportunity to compete for and perhaps get into the college football

1:20.9

playoff. I just want to acknowledge that. By the time you hit play and you're listening to this,

1:26.7

Missouri game may have already started. Heck, it may be over by the time you hit play and you're listening to this, Missouri game may have already started.

1:28.3

Heck, it may be over by the time you hear it. But I do think it's worth recognizing going in because I do love

1:34.2

college sports. I don't like where college sports are going. I think we need a collective

bargaining agreement. It has to be, and I'm not a regulation guy, but it has to be run as a business,

not as 80 different businesses.
