Hello and welcome back to mixing with Monny. It has been a while since I started off with a song, but because of some of the other topics this week, I thought it would be important that I start with that song in particular.

So that song was Hot Girl Summer.

It is a song that is by Megan Vestalian.

She is a up-and-coming budding rapper.

I won't even say up-and-coming anymore because she has made it.

She is probably one of the biggest rappers out there right now.

And she is all about basically having a bunch of other female rappers in like a girl squad,

but like in a supporting women kind of way, she is totally

cool with a bunch of other female rappers from new to veteran to obscure to big deals.

And she started a trending topic probably sometime in like May, like a long time ago, about a hot girl summer, meaning basically based off her lyrics and her EP that she released earlier in the year where a lot of her lyrics are centered around females basically living their best life, not being so caught up under one man,

being able to explore if that's what they want to do, a bunch of different men or women,

like doing your thing, literally using the man for whatever it is that you want to use him for.

Not in like a gold digging kind of way, but kind of get what you want out of the situation,

but don't feel obligated to any one man or any one relationship if that's not what he signed up

for too. So basically, if he did not say I'm committed to you and

want to give you a lifelong commitment or a ring or a marriage or whatever it is that you want,
