Hey there. It's the NPR Politics podcast. By many accounts, the White House is still in turmoil this week after the resignation of a top aid over domestic abuse allegations.

Over the weekend, President Trump took to Twitter to issue what looked to many to be a defensive rob order.

He said, quote, people's lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation.

It's not the first time the president has shown sympathy for a man being accused of abuse and we will talk about that.
