We begin with the state of the U.S. economy.

The long-awaited U.S. jobs report was released today.

And experts say, it's a mixed bag.

The U.S. economy gained 119,000 jobs in September, which is much stronger than the 50,000 jobs

that were expected.

But it's still a low-hire, low-fire market.

So that job growth was limited to a handful of industries.

Here's CNN's Matt Egan to break down which industries are hiring and which ones are hurting.

Now when you look at this sector breakdown, the job growth continues to be in healthcare,

adding another 60,000 jobs.

Construction after losing jobs a few months in a row, gain jobs.

Manufacturing. Manufacturing has lost jobs every single month since the president rolled out his liberation day tariffs in April. And relatedly, as imports

have plunged because of high tariffs, the transportation and warehousing sector lost 25,000 jobs

in September alone. Some Democrats are concerned the president is trying to incite violence.
