locked on chiefs podcast. And welcome back to another episode of

locked on chiefs. We are here for Thursday and there actually is a little bit news surprisingly enough and

it's not just about training camp or I'm sorry mini camp I apologize right I know it

early you you want it here? So what was the news?

Mitchell Schwartz signed a contract extension.

Good for him.

It added an extra year on his deal, basically guarantee his salary

for the next two years, I think is a signing bonus for this year.

So in that regard, he's in good condition at that point and I think that's a good sign for

him and it's funny because I did see that Jeff his brother tweeted out that he got a

phone call from Mitchell about it last night but he didn't report it.

Wow, self-control, way to go Jeff.

Well it was funny because the phone call he had had some guy basically having money all around

his face.

So...

That's to have a unique perspective on each other.

I think that's pretty funny.

I was hopeful that it wasn't just the guaranteed part.

I was hoping that they were going to reduce his base this year I think it's six million

To try and make a little bit more cushion maybe for the Jones deal for the coming deals
