Album. He's one of the only writers I can think of who's had number one bestsellers in both

the fiction and the nonfiction categories. His 1997 book Tuesdays with Mori was a worldwide favorite and adapted

for film in 1999 starring Hank Azaria as Mitch. It was then adapted for the stage as well in 2002,

a production I saw, which was great. And if all that isn't cool enough, he's also a songwriter. He's

worked as a nighttime piano player. He's won many AP Sports Editor's Awards and was inducted into the National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame.

That would be helpful, actually, if you could pick up any slack.

But it's a terrific book. I really enjoyed it. But I want to go back to earlier Mitch days.

You've had some advanced education. I know you have a master's from Columbia in both journalism and business,

which is not a heavily beaten path toward either sports talk radio or being a novelist. So when you were getting those degrees, did you have other plans?
