Hello, Mary Catherine. I'm doing just fine. Had a lovely Saturday night, albeit it was very

rain-drenched. It was my son's school's annual fall reception, the one that I, for now, a third year in a row,

do a shift volunteering as a bartender.

Nice.

So I enjoyed doing that, and it was kind of funny because there was a new dad who took over

a shift for somebody else, and all of a sudden he was next to me, and he was like in over his

head.

He didn't know. You could tell he didn't know what to do. And people are asking for, you know, the Pino Noir versus a Rioja versus a cabin.

He's like, well, which is which?

What?

And then he just turned to me and he said, somebody asked for makers in Coke.

And then he just goes, can I let you handle the complicated drinks?

There you go.

The complicated drinks.

Yes, the highballs assist of two things but that's okay you're

like the ryan seacrest of school night bartending which is people watch and they don't think

there's like maybe a ton of skill involved oh try it themselves like they have the little jigger
