tell me, Haley, about a sewing mistake that turned into something unexpectedly good. So maybe you

cut something wrong and you discovered a new design or fitting issue led you

to a technique you now use all the time, something like that.

What comes to mind for me is many years ago, I was making a dress.

It was like a blazer-style dress out of a velvet fabric.

And I, you know, velvet blazers are like nothing new, but I really chose the wrong type of velvet to create something structured.

Not only that, it was also my first time sewing with velvet fabric.

And I was like, yeah, silk velvet and something structured.

Such a good idea. And I think that what the unexpected good thing that came out of it is that it

really helped me to level up my sewing game. Because of that project, I had to

learn how to underline correctly. I had to step up my hand sewing game. I feel like before that point,

it was very slapdash. It was like a lot of technique.
