Summary
Mississippi State will take on a familiar foe in their opening game of the College World Series. Auburn upset Georgia Tech in the regional round in Atlanta and then took down North Carolina in the Super Regional.
The Bulldogs and Tigers are well acquainted having paired up earlier this season with State taking two of three on the weekend in Starkville.
While both teams feel like they let a win get a way in the weekend, that old series feels like ancient history. What matters most is what happens next.
