As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, here on the magnificent Monday edition of the yard of a lot later than normal.

And there's a good reason why I've been waiting for some phone calls to get you guys from information, kind of get some things finished up here.

Let me go ahead and tell you this.

I believe we are really, really,

really close. I guess it could bowl down to a matter of, I guess, of hours, but I would suspect

sometime in the next 48 hours, Mississippi State is going to announce a new football coach.

I believe we are very, very close to that happening, and I think many of you probably suspect

you know who that is.

We're going to get that a little bit later in the show. We're going to talk a little bit about

basketball. We're going to talk a little bit about recruiting. The contact period opens up this weekend.

As official visitors who are allowed back on campus again for the first time since the December

visits preceded the December signing period.

But Mississippi State did not have any visitors scheduled for this weekend.

So in that respect, not really any damage with the fact that no head coach has been

currently named at Mississippi State.

I fully expect that to happen shortly, as I mentioned earlier in the show.
