Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, on a belated Monday yard, and I do apologize for that. I was trying to make it through both media sessions today. I was on with Tulsa today around one. The Mississippi State session began around three and then ran well after 4 o'clock and so then you have to spend all the time on

dot com you can go check those out we're going to talk about some of those today one of those things

was about the weather up until today the forecast for game day has been for snow early in the day.

Now, the forecast has shifted a little bit here in the past 12 hours or so,

and now it looks like it's going to be some of that stinging rain, you know, that cold and rainy,

miserable type atmosphere.

And, of course, it's an outdoor game,

so we're going to have to kind of contend with the elements there.

I would rather it's snow than rain.

Not to mention we've got to drive back on Thursday after the ballgame.

I guess, you know, we could always get a hotel room again,

but it's different.

You know, and one of the things I wrote about today is Mississippi State has actually fared pretty well in cold temperatures in the postseason.

You go back to the 1963 Liberty Bowl where one Bill McGuire blocked a punt early in the

ball game, was picked up by Tommy Enumann and run 11 yards into the end zone.

A state raced out to a 16-0 lead over NC State.

The Wolfpack kind of fought back late,

couldn't recover an on-side kick.

An illegal touching call in the play.

State recovers and eventually runs out the clock

behind Holgrenje, who ran for 94 yards in a ballgame
