As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, here on the Hub Day edition of the yard.

What are we, 17 days away now from the season opener.

I'm starting to get a little bit excited. I'm going to talk a little bit about that in the first segment of the show.

Listen, I get it. It's so incredibly difficult at times to get excited

when you're not expecting a big year, right? I mean, like in 15, right, we'd had that great year

in 14. We thought it would be pretty good in 14. We ended up being number one in the country for a stretch.

And you get Dak back for 15, a lot of pieces around them easy to get

excited we hire Mike Leach easy to get excited right so I get it you know for the last

decade it has been a little more difficult to go into the season being jacked. I mean, in 2020, we were jacked

just to have college football, right? But the reality of it is, is that our fans at times

haven't had a lot to look forward to in football. That's why that 13-year ball streak meant so

much to us because, you know, we typically have not been great in football.

And then we have a stretch and, you know, when we reach a postseason every year and just felt like,

you know what, hey, we're happy to be here, but we want to get over the hump.

But at least every year, you know, for a dozen or so years, you expected to be able to take a bull trip.

And then headed into this year, you realize it's going to take an upset possibly two for that to happen.

And so I get it's a little bit difficult at times to have some exuberance about all this.

But I'm starting to get there.

And of course, I'm around the team.

You know, we get a chance to see a little practice from time and time.

We get some media availability with players.
