Today's message from David unpacks what it means to be a disciple of Jesus, beginning with

his own words in Matthew Chapter 4.

Here and throughout scripture, six primary marks of a disciple are identified, a transformed heart, mind, affections, will, relationships,

and purpose. Every disciple should be aware of, depend on, and seek to grow in God's transforming work of making of

If you have a Bible and I hope you do let me invite you to find

with me Matthew chapter four and Matthew Chapter 4. And Matthew Chapter 28, what I want to do is look at these two

passage of scripture and think about over the course of two messages what is a disciple and what does

it mean to make disciples. So we're in kind of a series on key terms and definitions when it comes to understanding mission which is significant.

On one hand yes for missionaries around the world who are proclaiming the gospel in places where it's never been heard.

But this isn't just for missionaries, this is for every one of us as followers of Christ.

Because as we're going to see today in the next message and even as we go deeper

to these terms and definitions, mission is not just for a select few people in the church.

Mission is the purpose why we're all on this planet.
