Mission log is very much alive.

We're just in the middle of a thoughtful refit. Let me explain.

So first of all, hello, friends, mission loggers, Star Trek pals, you know who you are.

If you've written to us lately and you're asking, hey, are you okay? First of all, thank you, truly.

The fact that you notice the quiet means a lot. And the fact that so many of you wrote to ask what's going on tells me how much

this show matters. Now, Mission Log is continuing. We're just taking a moment to get the next chapter

right. Now, yes, we wrapped Voyager back in November, and we've had a couple of great

supplemental episodes since then. We have the one with Ken Biller, one with Ellie Littlechild,

but you're right, mainline mission log has been quiet. So here's what's going on. Norman has

stepped away from the day-to-day mission log chair to focus on health and family, and we, I, love him.

We support him, and you will definitely hear from him again soon.

More on that in a minute.

And in the meantime, I've been doing something that we've only had to do a couple of times in mission log history, and that is searching for a new co-host.

And that process takes time.

The show matters too much to rush it, and the chemistry has to be just right.

We've been narrowing it down, and we're getting close.

And at the same time, Jessica Linverdi and I have been working behind the scenes on some thoughtful

tweaks and a few surprises for the next season. Nothing that changes the heart of mission

log. None of the morals, meanings, messages aren't going anywhere, but some evolutions that we
