Mission Imp Possible. Mission Impossible.

Once upon a time there was a far-off sleepy little town.

Picture it, green and sprawling, warm during the day, but still

cold enough at night to numb your fingers. The center was a cluster of little

shops and inns, selling supplies and renting rooms.

The village had only a few people living there full time.

It sat on an unimportant part of an important road,

so it was mostly used by people who were passing from one place to another.

Overlooking the town was an old tower where the Lord lived,

and below the town was a barracks where the Lord's soldiers and

advisors would sleep. They didn't often stay in the town. They were always a way

on missions for the Lord, like collecting taxes or chasing down criminals or dangerous beasts.

One such soldier was a young woman named Daria. She worked as a scout for the Lord, ranging far and wide around the village, collecting news and bringing the concerns of the people to her boss.

Her face was kind but hard from the wind and sun.
