Hi, this is John. And today on Theocast, we're going to be looking at a command from Jesus in John 17, where he says, I didn't take you out of the world, but I left you in the world for a specific mission.

And in this mission, Jesus also makes a request to the Father for protection. And if you don't know what that request is, you might think it's to keep us safe or to keep us healthy or to keep us from suffering.

But that's actually not what Jesus asked for.

It's specifically connected to the mission of the Christian.

Justin and I are going to talk about this request that Jesus makes to the Father.

And also, what is the mission of the Christian?
