March 22nd, 1997, was a night Wendy Lynn Ice Tetter will never forget.

Wendy was 30 years old, just five, six, and itty bitty.

She had two children that she loved very much and they lived with their father,

a fisherman in North Vancouver.

And I say their father rather than Wendy's husband,

because although they were married,

Wendy no longer lived with her family.

She lived in Vancouver's downtown east side.

She was unfortunately addicted to cocaine and heroin.

And her drug of choice was Speedball, which is a mix of the two.

Her drug habit cost her almost $200 a day and she had to work hard to make enough money

to buy those drugs.

Sometimes she shoplifted, but mostly she sold what she had and that was sex.

Late that night on March 22nd, she was picked up by a man in a red truck.
