In listening to a lot of preaching today, it's clear that it's possible to talk about the gospel,

or to even talk about the work of God, but not actually ever getting around to preaching the gospel

itself, preaching Jesus Christ for sinners. Now, this can happen from any number of passages, but today John and I are

going to have a conversation about a well-known text, and that is the interchange between Jesus and

Nicodemus from John Chapter 3. There's a lot of really epic stuff in there, the sovereign grace of God,

the work of God in regeneration and the new birth, And there is a lot of gospel in this passage that

sadly is often not talked about enough. And that message is the son of man being lifted up for us.
