On this episode of Black Girl Gone, we tell the story of Unique Harris, a 24-year-old

mother from Washington DC who went missing on October 10, 2010. On the night

Unique went missing, she had been watching movies with her sons and little

cousin. After the movies were over, the children all went to sleep, but when they

woke up the next morning, Unique was gone. Hours later, her family

discovered that Unique had left her purse and her glasses that she could not

see them about. No one ever saw Unique again. What happened to Unique the night she

disappeared? This is Unique Story. When Unique Harris went missing on October

2010, her family was completely torn apart. Unique was a young mother, a daughter,

and a sister, but the night that she disappeared, no one knew that it would take

10 years to get any real answers about what happened to Unique the night that

she was last seen. Unique was originally from Richmond, Virginia. She was the

oldest of three siblings. Unique and her brother and sister were raised by their

mother, Valencia Harris. Her mom, Valencia, had Unique when she was young and she

said it was almost like they had grown up together. Unique and her siblings

had different father and so for the first few years of her life, it was just

unique in her mom. Valencia said that Unique was the most beautiful baby that

she had ever seen. She was like a real-life baby doll and Valencia would dress

her up in frilly dresses and bows. In a YouTube interview in March 2020, Valencia

said that as a little girl, Unique loved purses and baby dolls. She was always
