Niam Mae was an adventurous teenager.

She grew up in a large family in the Northern New South Wales town of Armadale in Australia.

After finishing high school, she took a gap year in 2002

and embarked on a working holiday picking fruit in the rural town of Batlow.

As Easter approached, Niam Mae plans to travel to Sydney to meet her sister

for Nourla and brother Kiran so they could travel back to Armadale to spend Easter with their family.

But Niam never made it home.

Investigations into Niam's disappearance have now spanned two decades.

There have been numerous sightings of Niam reported over the years

along with multiple theories about what might have happened,

but all leads have met dead ends.
