Past tense, present tense, future tense, as we look ahead here to 2025. We should note this will be

our last daily edition for the year. We will have a special edition next Monday, though,

with our 2024 highlights and 2025 news predictions or what to look out for next year.

Jillo was the subject of debate over on our premium Instagram account over the weekend.

I was like, hey, we're going to look ahead.

And I was like, no, but can you please just like recap the year?

I'm like, you want to recap 2024?

And so many people said yes.

In fact, there was a person who was like, literally, to recap this year, it's probably going to take you 12 hours. But I would listen to a 12 hour podcast about 24.

So I saw that debate and I was surprised because it was something that we had talked about in our editorial meetings. Like should we do a prediction? Should we do a look back? And the thinking was who would want to look back? But I guess it was such a crazy year. Well, I should say the staff was split. The staff was split. I think you and I were both like, you know, like forget 2024. But there were other members of the team who were like, no, 24. And so we have a bit of that actually in the newsletter. But the people have voted and they will get a bit of 2024, not a 12-hour podcast by no means.

We don't plan on that.

I should say that because we made the switch, I started to think about my favorite stories

of the year.

Or should I say the stories that I think most reflect 2024, not necessarily my favorites.

Yes.

And I really enjoyed the process. And I should say there's one story that you and I both cannot get enough of that we're going to do as kind of like

the bonus story. So look out for that next Monday on the 30th. We'll see how long that podcast last,
