and when you first get the interview request,

it's like, all right, you need to meet Miss Utah, you know,

2020,

and she's running from Miss USA 2020.

And her name is Rachel Slosson, and it's going to be great. And then you dropped about 20 mini bombs on me. And I had just never met somebody that was that open, especially

coming from the pageant world. I feel like, and maybe this is me stereotyping most pageant girls,

that you guys are closed, you guys like to put up this perfect facade, but you didn't do that.

You honestly lead with your truth. Was that hard to get to for you? I think when I first started

doing pageants, I really tried to fit that cookie cutter mold of just, you know, really trying to present this perfect image and it didn't really work. And if anything, it made me mentally unwell. So part of why I returned to pageantry was to add that breath of fresh air and like actually be an authentic human. And I think that, you know, all of those women have that in them

and I've connected with many of them on that level, but not everyone in pageantry or not is

really willing to do that in front of everyone, you know? How many times did you compete in a pageant

before you won, Miss Utah? Five times. Five times. Isn't it crazy that it wasn't until you were your real authentic self that not only
