Welcome to the show. We thought we'd do something a little bit different this week.

We are not in the same place. This is not going to be our normal format.

But while we were covering Beatrix Potter for the last episode,

we started to talk about the 2006 Miss Potter movie, starring Renee Zellweger,

and we decided that we had a lot to say about it, so that we would make it a separate episode.

And that's what this is.

So we've got Renee Zellweger as Miss Beatrix Potter, and you and McGregor as Norman Warren.

There is a note on IMDB that Kate Blanchett was actually supposed to star in this movie,

though she had to bow out kind of at the last minute.

And I was looking at the timeline and it looks like she might have just bowed out for Queen Elizabeth the Golden Age,

so I suppose I'll have to forgive her.

But, yes, we could definitely forgive her for that. Come on, she was awesome.

But I'm going down on public record to say that I think, you know,

wishes being what they are, that this might have been a better movie with Kate Blanchett.

No offense to Renee Zellweger, but come on.

Yeah, you and I had talked about this before.

You had said that you thought Kate Blanchett was a much better actress,

and I have to agree with you on that.
