Hello, everybody, and welcome to You Are Good, a feelings podcast about movies.

0:08.7

I am one of your co-host, Alex Steed. I will be joined by my illustrious co-host Sarah Marshall in a couple of

0:14.2

minutes. Today we're covering Misery, Page to Scream, the book in the movie, and whether or not

0:19.1

you've read it, whether or not you have watched it,

0:21.8

whether or not you are a horror fan. I think that there's something for everyone in this conversation.

0:26.6

We cover these movies. We cover movies generally to talk through the more universal elements

0:31.4

1:16.9

episode. If listening or thinking about these things isn't in the cards for you today,

1:21.2

we just want you to know ahead of time. There are other episodes that don't contain these

1:25.0

types of content warnings. Actually, I'd say the vast majority of

1:28.0

our episodes. So go back and check those out instead. Finally, we talk about many of the valid

1:33.4

critiques and criticisms of King and how they inform our relationship with his texts as fans.

1:40.5

We recognize both here in this conversation that being able to even just engage with

1:45.0

his writing comes from a place of privilege.

1:46.5

And so we try to have a nuanced conversation about how to engage when we have emotional

1:53.3

connections with works and writers that have these problematic elements.

1:58.1

And in this episode, I think we're actively working through a
