of your co-hosts Alex Steed, I will be joined by my illustrious co-hosts Sarah Marshall

Today we're covering misery, page to screen, the book in the movie, and whether or not

you've read it, whether or not you have watched it, whether or not you are a horror fan,

I think that there's something for everyone in this conversation.

We cover these movies, we cover movies generally to talk through the more universal elements

of the genre and what's on screen or what's on the page.

And so you don't personally have to experience the horror if you don't want to.

I love it when we cover horror and folks say like, that's not my bag, but I listened

and I got a lot out of it.

That means a lot to us.

So yeah, just a little heads up and hey, just a quick content warning.

This is horror, this is Stephen King.

We don't go into very deep detail, but there are certainly mentions of violence of

gore.

We talk about mental health issues, we talk about mine and other folks.

We talk about addiction, talk about captivity, and we also talk about the problematic language

that is used in King's writing, particularly with regard to race, rape, and sexual assault.

Most of these sensitive topics happen in the last 20 to the 30 minutes of the episode

if listening or thinking about these things isn't in the cards for you today.
