Today we're going to be talking about healing through nature with our wonderful guest and friend Asia Suler. Asia is an herbalist nature writer, spiritual

educator, ecological philosopher, social media figure, and entrepreneur. As a teacher in the

realms of herbalism and earth spirituality, she has taught for the most well-known herbal programs in the country, including the Chestnut School of Urban Medicine, the Northwest School of Botanical Medicine, and the Blue Ridge School of Urban Medicine.

She has guided more than 10,000 people through her various online programs

and now has a fantastic new book out called Mirrors in the Earth, Reflections on Self Healing from the Living World.

Welcome back to the show, Asia. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so delighted to be here with you too.

Oh, we're so excited too. I know how this

book was birthed into being but can you share with listeners how you decided to put so much of

your knowledge but also your own experiences into this beautiful book?

So I started writing this book 10 years ago and all I knew at the time was that there was a book that

wanted to move through me. There was a book that wanted to move through me.

There was a book that wanted to come through, but I couldn't really figure out what the

unifying theme was. I kept having these amazing experiences in nature and these big moments of growth and realization and I would write

these stories down but I couldn't see that unifying theme and so it really took me probably like four years of starting and

discarding drafts before I finally had really the light bulb moment where I

realized what the heart of the book was really about, which was this idea that learning
